Very, very happy birthday wishes to a legend in the music world, Mr. Roy Ayers, master of the vibes. In the 70's he was one of the pioneering forces for Jazz-Funk. Ayers has released more than 40 albums, including the soundtrack to the blaxploitation movie Coffy, which starred Pam Grier.
In 1980, Ayers collaborated with Afro-Beat pioneer Fela Kuti to release Music of Many Colors. The 2000's brought about him stepping into the realms of House music by releasing remixes of many of his classics. For more info on Roy Ayers, including his discography, log on to RoyAyers.com.
